The district pays for dual credit courses for all eligible students. These classes are offered through MSU.

The district offers career and technical education programs in the following areas: Plant Science Animal Science, Applied Agricultural Engineering, Environmental and Natural Resources, Business Management, Nursing Science, Culinary Arts, and Law Enforcement.

Students in 5th-12th grades are given Chromebook to use at home. Upon graduation, the seniors are “gifted” their Chromebook.

City View ISD has proudly served the Wichita Falls community for more than a century. The district's roots trace back to approximately 1890, when the original City View School opened as a one-room schoolhouse to educate children in the surrounding rural farming community. As the area grew, the school expanded and welcomed students from neighboring rural districts through consolidation, reflecting the changing educational landscape of North Texas. In 1961, City View officially became an Independent School District, establishing the foundation for the district that continues to serve students today. Recognizing its long-standing contribution to public education, the original City View School was honored with an Official Texas Historical Marker in 1990. Today, City View ISD remains committed to building on its proud tradition by providing a safe, supportive learning environment where students are prepared for success in college, careers, and life while maintaining the strong community values that have defined the district for generations.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature in June of 2019, with a stated goal of a six-figure salary for teachers, prioritizing teaching in high needs and rural district campuses. The intent of this initiative is to provide highly effective teachers a pathway to earn more while remaining in the classroom and to help attract and retain highly effective teachers.
Based on a locally-developed and state-approved designation system, teachers will have the opportunity to earn a designation of master, exemplary, or recognized. The two required components to evaluate when recommending teachers for designation are the teacher appraisal system and student growth outcomes. Once earned, the designation is applied to the individual’s teaching certificate and remains valid for five years.
